Perform Zone awarded panel supplier status to Defence Support Services (DSS) panel
22/1/18 Press Release
The Defence Support Service Panel, or DSS Panel, is the latest iteration of the panel that the Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) use to acquire professional services from industry. It was previously called Capability Acquisition and Sustainment -Support Services (CAS-SS) Panel, and prior to that the Defence Material Organisation Support Services (DMOSS) Panel.
The new arrangement allows Perform Zone’s vendors access to supplying defence with contract Engineering and Technical labour hire services.
These services support the acquisition and sustainment of Defence’s (Air, Joint Systems, Land and Maritime) capital equipment and systems projects. These services are required by Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). Other Defence Groups, the Australian Defence Force (ADF), and other Australian Government agencies are also able to access to the services through their arrangement with Perform Zone.
The long term average annual expenditure under the previous CAS-SS panel was around $300m per year. This comprised:
- approximately 45% ($135m per year) through CASG;
- approximately 50% ($150m per year) through other Defence Groups or Services; and
- approximately 5% ($15m per year) through other Australian Government agencies.
